OVERVIEW & HISTORY
Founded in Keene, New Hampshire in 1988, SECI started as a small, but uniquely driven wholesaler/broker of environmental safety equipment and supplies for the abatement and remediation industry. From the outset, the goal was simple – help fellow distributors and safety supply houses across the United States and Canada become more profitable by providing a dependable and on demand supply of the products they needed at prices not found elsewhere. Successful in that goal, SECI quickly became the best kept secret in the industry, providing unbeatable pricing with an unmatched commitment and dedication to customer service. As the business continued to grow, SECI expanded its product offerings to include industrial safety products and supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE) and disaster response supplies, all at the exceptionally low prices the company had become known for.
SECI remains committed to providing exceptional value and service to the abatement, remediation, industrial, and construction industries. But, that is not where our capabilities end. We have also become the trusted resource of government, healthcare, first responders and relief workers at home and abroad in ordinary times, as well as in times of emergency and peril.
SECI was the primary go to for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the wake of the 2001 World Trade Center attacks for essential personal protective equipment, disaster response supplies and environmental safety equipment and supplies.
In 2005, SECI provided similar essential equipment and supplies in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
In 2010, SECI was there once again providing necessary relief and response equipment in the fallout and cleanup of the BP oil spill disaster.
No stranger to pandemics and similar health emergencies following the SARS and H1N1 outbreaks, SECI is on the forefront of those companies providing essential workers with the PPE and environmental and safety equipment and supplies they need in the ongoing fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2021, Safety Environmental Control, Inc. was acquired by Aramsco, Inc. a distributor to a broad range of industries including concrete surface preparation, building restoration, environmental remediation, janitorial supplies, countertop fabrication, and professional cleaning. The combined partnership provides customers with expanded access to additional services and products to help their business grow.
