These 3M 8511 disposable respirators are rated as an N95 filter and are recommended as sufficient protection against many infectious particles including the H5N1 Avian Bird Flu and SARS. For a cooler, easier breathing version try the 7140N95. The built-in exhalation valve makes breathing easier. The build up of warm exhaled air is reduced and keeps the filter media from moisture loading. The exhalation valve also facilitates positive pressure seal checks.
